My Story
My name is Sam and I absolutely love what I do and what I can create. However, my journey hasn't been an easy one and it feels difficult to tell my story but it has shaped me for who I am and for what I stand for today I am a registered qualified Veterinary nurse and have been for the last 7 years. I love my job and what I have been trained to do but it can be, unfortunately, quite heartbreaking as well as emotionally and mentally very challenging.2015 has been the year everything around us has changed. Our baby girl "Leila" was born still 37 weeks into my pregnancy. The emotional turmoil we had been through and are still experiencing is unimaginable. Since then I suffered throughout with anxiety and depression. We soldiered on as a family and have since welcomed two adorable boys and our youngest a little girl into our world. Nonetheless, after being diagnosed with PTSD this year and like many of us struggling through lockdown I knew I had to do something to help me find a new passion and find something that feels rewarding and uplifting. Refinishing furniture just does that for me. I see it as an art and a way of healing my mind. Every piece of furniture is created with love. And importantly to me I have been able to create something that has been influenced by our tragedy but in a positive way.
